Wedding Ceremony Ideas

You’ve chosen your wedding venue…you know, the one that made you scream yes! This is the place! You’ve pictured yourself getting married and partying the night away. And now it’s time to outfit the space to match up with your vision. First things first — the ceremony may only be twenty minutes, but we want your guests to be talking about those minutes for years to come! Here are a few wedding ceremony ideas that will undoubtedly contribute to those memorable moments:

Chairs

As people begin to file in and take their seats, these chairs will deserve a second look. Say no to plastic chairs and opt for rentals that your guests look forward to sitting on and make them feel special! Our Negroni Chair combined with a simple arch makes for an intimate ceremony setting. While the decor is minimal, the attention to detail is impossible to miss.

If you’re drawn to more than one rental, don’t be afraid to mix n’ match! There are no hard and fast rules — and you should take every opportunity to make the event your own. The combination of the Negroni next to the Manhattan Chair is not done often, but it’s as though they were made to stand side by side. Taking a risk definitely paid off in this case.

Ceremony chairs shouldn’t be overlooked, as they are a key element to the look and feel you’re going for and can set the tone for the wedding as a whole. For example, our Old Pal Chair is ripe with character and gives the ceremony a different vibe than an all white chair, or more fancy option.

Rugs and Accents

We love to play with the little details, aka the pieces that you could easily incorporate into your home’s decor and be reminded of your walk down the aisle on a daily basis! Remember that accents don’t have to mean flowers — for this particular event we topped our Low Moroccan Coffee Tables with a few decorative Metal Lanterns and called it a day.

Layered rugs are also a beautiful way to set the scene and complement the color palette.

Or they can act like the runway for you and your partner to march down!

Arches

The arch is the perfect opportunity to frame the scene and there are an endless number of ways to make it your own. From bright and colorful to simple and elegant — we love to see what is done to blank canvases like our Canopy or White Display Shelf! There’s plenty of ways to get creative or inspired. I mean, could you imagine a shelf unit could be the perfect modern ceremony arch?
