Here’s How to Pull Off a 60s Mod Themed Party—with Style
First off, you hire Dominique Mercado to create your space vision. When the stylist and event planner approached us with her idea for her Space Age Sendoff—a chic 60s mod themed bachelorette party—we couldn’t say no! And we’re glad we didn’t, because as you’ll see, the result was pretty stellar. Too many space jokes? We can’t help it.
Dominique brought together an amazing group of vendors. Vannagram & Co. brought the coolest VW photo bus. Fancy Fluff cotton candy joined in with a bit of nostalgia and yumminess. Custom 60s mod themed party wigs from the talented Coco Coquette, and never forget the dreamiest venue, Kitty Cohen’s.
Our White Bar Back Shelf / Display Unit became a shinning-star display hosting sweet desserts and boozy beverages for guests. The lounge was created with our white and black Paloma chairs mixed with white Paloma loveseats. All the pieces gathered around a futuristic fire beneath our Acrylic Coffee Table.
It’s all in the details here, we’re in awe with how she turned our pieces galactic to create this celestial styled shoot. From the custom-made invites from Dorothy Irvine paper-party invitation for the occasion to the acrylic jewelry from Hey Murphy. Even the fun silver orb balloons from Party City!
Even though this was a bachelorette party, we’d love to see this 60s mod theme as a fun engagement party or bridal shower. Add in a disco ball and a dance floor to keep the party going for any occasion.
There’s nothing more magical than seeing a group of vendors bring a vision to life. This 60s mod themed party has us brainstorming more summer ideas and maybe craving a cocktail at Kitty Cohen’s. You can see the full gallery here.
