We’re always looking for an excuse to throw a party and Cinco de Mayo is just the reason to do so. We envision an outdoor event space with bright colors and plenty of activities. Taking inspiration from some of our previous events, we’ll walk you through our ideal Cinco de Mayo party.
Cinco de Mayo with Mint Event Design
This styled shoot was in honor of Cinco de Mayo, complete with pale pink and green decor, succulent inspired baked goods and “Viva la Mexico” paper cutouts. This set-up was achieved with the help of many event professionals, but aspects could easily be pulled and recreated for all levels!

Cinco de Mayo with Lauren Ford
If it isn’t raining, early May is the ideal time for a Cinco de Mayo Backyard Bash. This intimate gathering for the holiday included Mexican inspired tabletop decor, bright floral arrangements, a complete tequila bar using our Mai Tai Table, and an assortment of Mexican blankets.
Cinco de Mayo with Moontower
Our version of a Cinco de Mayo Bash would include a number of activities outside of dining and drinking. We’re thinking a Terrarium Build with Plant Party for the artistic types and then a corn hole set-up for those who prefer to be up and moving.
We loved the bar set-up from the Lauren Ford event and expect the Mai Tai Table to make a second appearance! To take your margaritas up a notch, we recommend bringing Drink Slingers ATX to the party. These folks know how to make a mean tequila or mezcal-based cocktail, which is very necessary for Cinco de Mayo.
The Harvest Table is a versatile classic that can be styled any which way, but for less formal events — a few Palm Leaf + French 75’s with some Neon Table Tops would be fun!
Every event needs a lounge set-up for guests to mingle and relax, especially when there is tequila involved! Our Paloma Chairs are ideal for Cinco de Mayo, considering they were designed by MexaDesign in Guadalajara.
We offer the Paloma style in an assortment of colors — from single chairs and loveseats to a Rainbow Hanging Chair that is in a funky category of its own. It would not be a proper Moontower Cinco de Mayo Bash without these fun pieces.
We can’t wait to see how you style your own Cinco de Mayo party! Tag @moontowerrentals in any pictures you post.
