It was a fantastic experience being a part of Dr. Padmavathi Karri, “V,” and Dr. Duncan Trimble’s Indian American Wedding that took place over two days. We love the fusion of the traditional Indian wedding with the couple’s personal tastes. We’re obsessed with the Indian American Wedding fusion!
Day One: The Sangeet
Day one was the Sangeet. A Sangeet is translated to music, but when used to describe a celebratory event during an Indian wedding, it translates to Music Night or Musical Party. The Sangeet was held at the industrial-chic 800 Congress. The gorgeous couple sat in our L’Angel Sweetheart Chairs while the toasts were given.
Our Campari Sofa created a vibrant but soft contrast to the raw interior of the venue while also creating a cozy space for guests to mingle. Remi + Gold created the vivid florals for the Sangeet that added vibrant pops of color throughout the venue.
Day 2: The Baraat & Ceremony
Pecan Springs Ranch was the perfect stunning but charming venue for their ceremony and reception. The gorgeous pecan trees provided cozy spaces for guests to mingle. Inside was an additional lounge in front of the dance floor for guests to relax and enjoy the entertainment. Inside was an additional lounge in front of the dance floor for guests to relax and enjoy the entertainment. Our Bramble Lounge Chairs set the stage for the couple’s beautiful take on a Mandap. In essence, the Mandap serves as the altar for Indian weddings. Adorned with floral decorations and bells, this wooden structure serves as the stage for which guests and family witness the couple wed. Gypsy Florals created romantic, breathtaking floral arrangements throughout the ceremony and reception. Our Blonde Display Shelf added to the immaculate details during cocktail hour. Guests had even more lounge space to enjoy the natural beauty of the Hill Country with more of our Bramble Lounge chairs, El Presidente Lounge Chairs, and Mojito Rattan sofas under the canopy of pecan trees.
