Wedding Ceremony Ideas

You’ve chosen your wedding venue…you know, the one that made you scream yes! This is the place! You’ve pictured yourself getting married and partying the night away. And now it’s time to outfit the space to match up with your vision. First things first — the ceremony may only be twenty minutes, but we want your guests to be talking about those minutes for years to come! Here are a few wedding ceremony ideas that will undoubtedly contribute to those memorable moments:

Chairs

As people begin to file in and take their seats, these chairs will deserve a second look. Say no to plastic chairs and opt for rentals that your guests look forward to sitting on and that make them feel special! Alternating our Negroni Chairs and Manhattan Chairs provides visual interest and it’s as though they were meant to stand side by side. Add a floral arch to make a statement at the end of your aisle and you’ve got a stunning setting for your vows.

Ceremony chairs shouldn’t be overlooked, as they are a key element to the look and feel you’re going for and can set the tone for the wedding as a whole. For example, our Old Pal Chair is ripe with character and gives the ceremony a different vibe than an all white chair, or more fancy option.

Rugs and Accents

We love to play with the little details, aka the pieces that you could easily incorporate into your home’s decor and be reminded of your walk down the aisle on a daily basis. Layered rugs are a beautiful way to set the scene and complement the color palette.

We are also big fans of creating fun moments with pillars, like our Fluted Pedestals. They look stunning with florals atop! You can either have a few at the end of your aisle to say your vows in front of, or flank the start of your aisle with two sets so that they welcome guests and appear in photos as you’re making your entrance. Repurpose them as a display for your cake at your reception and thank us later. 😉

Arches

The arch is the perfect opportunity to frame the scene and there are an endless number of ways to make it your own. From bright and colorful to simple and elegant — we love to see what is done to blank canvases like our Canopy or White Display Shelf! There’s plenty of ways to get creative or inspired. I mean, could you imagine a shelf unit could be the perfect modern ceremony arch?
