In anticipation of the Netflix hit show Bridgerton’s third season and Mother’s Day this year, we planned this romantic styled shoot in a field of wildflowers with Whim & Proper, an Austin event styling boutique, and Table Manners, Austin’s premiere table-top rental vendor. You may know our specialty is more modern-leaning furniture rentals and not so much ornate, antique pieces like you see in the television series but this styled shoot proves that we can definitely bring the romance.
There’s always an increase in Bridgerton-themed weddings and parties after a season airs and there’s a reason why—no detail is missed in the show’s romantic, over-the-top sets. The characters are strolling through stunning florals or going to balls in mansions that are outfitted to the nines with beautiful, antique decor. The settings contribute to the overall romance of the episodes and the popularity of the show itself, which is one of the reasons we wanted to recreate these vibes with an Austin flair for Mother’s Day.
Our Ciroc Round Dining table already has the modern romance we needed with it’s beautiful fluted base, but we upped the charm by pairing it with our round-top Negroni chairs. The coffee-colored dining chairs provided a nice contrast to the light-wood table and we added a few pastel-colored velvet pillows to soften up the dining situation even more.
Table Manners place settings with floral napkins and pastel glass goblets looked like they came straight out of the Netflix period drama — perfect for a fancy pants Mother’s Day brunch.
We couldn’t pass up a chance to include an umbrella’d, al fresco style dining moment with our Sorbetto Bistro Table and Old Pal Chairs in this setting. You’d definitely see this on a manicured courtyard on Bridgerton as well as on the sidewalks of downtown Austin outside some of our favorite restaurants. This table and chair combination is cute enough alone that the styled shoot team didn’t need to add much decor and our Fringed Market Umbrella also makes everything a little more glamorous.
