Recently featured in Brides of Austin’s Spring/Summer 2019 Issue, Lovely Day Events orchestrated this elegant meets modern styled shoot at Springdale Station alongside a list of talented vendors.
The Venue
Springdale Station is an event hall located in East Austin. The venue itself is a historic train station built by Arthur Upshaw Boone. Current owner Moya McIntyre decided to breathe life back into the old relic. She joined forces with the developer to convert the unique train station into a public event venue to be shared with all of Austin.
This 20’s era building boasts exposed wood trusses, floor to ceiling windows, and rustic wood floors with two adjacent buildings joined by a beautiful glass enclosure. In the summer of 2016, Springdale Station opened to the public, as a one of a kind space to host parties, receptions, fundraisers, weddings, and community events.
The Ceremony
With our Manhattan Chairs flanking the aisle, our Marrakesh Runner guided the lovely bride to the stunning backdrop by The Flower Girl. The natural light and touches of color made this space feel incredibly open and bright.
Kierstin Schupack of Lovely Day Events Austin wanted to create a wedding ceremony that was modern, yet organic. The classic wedding dress from Blush Bridal Lounge and bouquet + boutonniere by The Flower Girl were perfect additions!
The Lounge
The lounge was composed of neutral tones with touches of gold — keeping within the simple yet elegant feel of the shoot. The Tom Collins Sofa is a party classic and the Colada Lounge Chairs frame the lounge and bring a bit of elegance to it all. The Golden Circle Velvet pillows are just plain fun!
