What a strange time we’re in. Right now it feels like nothing is certain, and making plans seems futile as things change daily. “End dates” are thrown at us from all directions, and we don’t know what to believe.
For the time being, we believe that being physically apart from one another is for the betterment of our entire community. We understand and stand behind that.
We might not know when life will start to feel normal again, but we know at some point it will happen. And when it does, all of us will be more than ready to be together again.
We will gather again with those we love.
There will be weddings where couples will declare their love for one another in front of their family and closest friends.
There will be birthday parties, bar mitzvahs, sweet sixteens, and quincenearas to celebrate life.
We’ll be reunited with our grandmas, our sister who lives across the country, our friend who lives just out of reach in town. We’ll hug each other tightly.
We’ll gather outside with friends to have picnics in the park and drink up the sunshine.
Drinks will be spilled. We’ll toast to each other for making it through this difficult time.
We’ll dance all night long, and wake up happy even though our feet are sore.
